Zhiyun Lei is an artist–researcher working across computational art, moving image, interactive systems, and spatial installation. His practice examines how images and technological systems organise perception, embodiment, agency, and social relations.

Beginning with photography and moving image, Lei’s practice has progressively expanded into spatial practice, virtual reality, generative AI, and interactive computational systems. He holds a PhD in Digital Media from Macau University of Science and Technology and an MA in Photography from the Royal College of Art.
